No cookies are used for visitors to this website. There are no login features for visitors and we do not currently use Google Analytics or similar.
Types of data we collect and who we share your data with
If you register to be a member of our programmes we will collect important and relevant information needed to provide a safe service to you when you visit our centre to take part in events and activities. This data includes but is not limited to name, contact details, emergency contact information, allergies and medical information deemed relevant.
This data is not stored on the website. It is stored digitally in our office and accessed only by staff and instructors.
Similarly, if you complete the volunteering form we will store your data digitally in our office until such time that you no longer volunteer with us (or we do not recruit you as a volunteer). After which we delete your data. We will also delete your data at your request.
Completing the Get in touch form; we do not store your data unless you then complete a booking with us as a result of our communication. In which case your data will be stored for up to 2 years as per our legal obligation. Similarly if you complete the booking request online form and we accept your booking your data is stored for no more than 2 years.
In short;
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting admin@spca.org.uk
(b) We have a legal obligation.
How long we retain your membership data
We retain your data all the while you remain an active member of our programmes, after which we will delete your data. We will also delete your data at your request but this will also terminate any memberships you have with us.
What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive the data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Membership data for our programmes will be sent to instructors in order for them to provide a safe environment, including important information such as emergency contact, allergies or medical information as deemed relevant by the user on registration.
How we store your data
Your information is securely stored on a digital hard drive or paper records in a secured office. We dispose of your information by permanently deleting the data from the drive or shredding paper records.
